8th grade science

and the moon is made of cheese, nobody can tell me otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having issues with the velocity question. I skipped AP Physics which I would have taken in 11th grade. So I am missing something. My only experience with defining velocity comes from calculus.

Velocity is acceleration with a direction. Right? The direction is down and the acceraltion would be 9.8m/s^2. It's not possible to travel faster than that unless something other than gravity comes into play. Where the hell do they get the 100m/s?

Wait, I just answered my own question typing out 9.8m/s^2
