I was hoping to get a bit more use out of a truck that's 7yrs old with 92k mi. If this is the best GM can make, god help them get out of bankruptcy/going out of business.

This sucks. I hate vehicles. A black cloud follows me with every vehicle I've owned or driven. They've all had major mechanical issues.

Edit: I have less than a month before my registration is up and inspection, which won't pass because the truck needs new tires.

115k miles and only two major repair bills. 2000 Ford Stang; that's what you need. :0)
 
I need a vehicle with space and can handle well in winter roads. A mustang is neither. Would be nice to get a vehicle that won't turn into a rust bucket after one Maine winter. Amazingly, my truck has little rust on it. I don't care what people say, but those underbody coatings (factory put on my truck) work well. It's retarded. the truck interior is in awesome shape, even the exterior (needs a paint job, scratched up a bit). But mechanically, this truck sucks.

Get an AWD Toyota Matrix. I have two freinds with the Front Wheel Drive models and even those go well in the snow.

Or get a Rav4.
