Yes of course! Unfortunately the population that abortion would be beneficial for are also doing drugs while pregnant. Drugs, cigs, and anything damaging the human and fetal body should be a criminal offense, imo. But well...
Well, the funny thing is, all of those things aren't lasting effects once the child is born.

Sure, the first couple of weeks are a little rougher with a drug baby than the PERFECT scenario, but that's a very small percentage of babies born - yeah, even healthy kids born to parents who took all of the current precautions will cry like MAD 24/7. With all the bad press it gets, smoking isn't that bad really.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is really the only big thing that doesn't go away shortly after birth. (Of course exposure to welding/paint/industrial chemical fumes has lasting effects, but that is FAR less common)

And I'm not saying this lightly, you learn all sorts of politically incorrect things when you start down the adoption path :fly:

Yikes I bet that can get a bit nerving.

I still think a woman should be as healthy as she can possibly be if she is pregnant, that isn't fair to a baby to start out that way. Yuck, I'm talking about kids... I need to wash off...

chikken, if you're trying to adopt, find a hot willing chick and i'll knock her up for you.

Surregate mother! Or however you spell it... kinda like that movie Juno.

If you take away the ability to get abortions legally then people will still get it down except by less qualified people in unsafe conditions.

Pro-life just means it's the woman's body so she can decide what to do to it. Isn't that the fundamental point behind the land of the free? They already force us to wear seat belts and put laws against what you can put in your body. Where does it end?

I don't think the conditions are that great now :omy:

Personally, I'm not talking about taking them away - just trying to reduce the # of them.

Conversely, I'm against seat belt laws and the drug war. Both contribute to the death of personal responsibility.

Word. The seat belt one is tricky though since retard drivers are so often medicaled ('bout time we had some new verbs up in hur) by tax dollars. I guess it's all about protecting our assets (and kids).

I have only one reason to vote Obama, and it's because I hope he'll finally get rid of the abomination that is Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell, and move towards full acceptance of gay rights. I personally am not really concerned about marriage, but I really don't think I should be legally discriminated against just because of what gender I'm attracted to.

Unfortunately... at this point, I consider McCain the lesser of two evils.

McCain has said 22 times during his campaign that the US economy was strong and now he's changed his tune to saying the economy is in crisis and in grave danger, but that he still has confidence in the workers of America.

what a retarded shyster

this may have been mentioned, late to the thread..

how bout McCain's new tv spots are all "let's change washington together!"

what a biter.

Yeah, except that whole part about what to do with the spent fuel.

Are you familiar at all with the newer breeder reactors? The spent fuel has a half life of 100 years, rather than the shitty reactors of the 70s that had a half life of 10,000 years. Additionally, breeder reactors can even use the waste fuel of the older reactors!

Nuclear IS the answer. Fission for now, fusion for later...
