The Dong Thread

Dog ownership is so worth it, in my opinion. In addition to hobo slaying, when they come up to you so happy to see you its so great.

Last night my furry one, was frolicking in the grass.

Makes me all warm and fuzzy where my heart should be.

Min Pins are really just the happiest dogs ever, they exude the sort of joy that melts even the coldest of hearts.

Does yours hop around rather than run? When Lu is running, it's more of a boing! boing! boing! than a trot or anything, cutest thing ever!

Lol he hops when I first get home. He follows me around the house hopping and vibrating because his tail is going so fast.

I'm so glad you said that because I intend to use his magnetic looks to attract hot women at area parks.

And unsuspecting hobos.

I can't speak for hot women, but between the dog and the kid, you should be in the zone.

I think I've been green-lit on my vicious, man-eating griger. (half greyhound, half tiger) I'm pretty excited, but I'm not completely sure yet. I just know that they called both of my references yesterday and then a woman with the organization called last night and said she would have the foster parent call me so I could ask any questions I could think of and set up a visit for me to come and check out the dog.

His current name is Guru. I haven't decided on a new name yet (Guru sucks ass), but I'm thinking Apollo might be good so I can get a girl griger too, name her Artemis, and then go out and slay hobos.
When you get him home, you can track his racing career and lineage from his ear tags. That's always neat.

Lu doesn't really bark... only when she's REALLY excited/afraid, but we correct her quickly... it's never been an approved behavior due to her contraband nature and all.

I can't stand barking dogs. Cannot stand.

Yeah I thought they were yappers too until I got one. Diego does this low back of the throat woof when he hears something.

Now if there is a knock on the door he does bark.

Yes! The low woof, which is more through the nose than anything, she does that, and we do allow that and tell her good girl and thank you for the alert.

The ONLY time Lu barks is if a guy comes into the house with a hat on, and this is new within the past 2 weeks... other than that, she barks if she's in bed sleeping and Ryan tries to sneak in and creaks the floor at the foot of the bed  That's her way of busting him out for staying up too late playing video games.

ALL the min pin next door to us does is yip...at nothing. and it doesn't stop. ever.

Most of the time, barky dogs are that way because they don't get enough exercise/stimulation. They basically go bonkers and stir crazy so they have all of this pent up energy. My mom's dogs are like that. They bark at every sound, every movement, day or night. It's ridiculous.

I keep a spray bottle handy for when the cats do something they aren't supposed to do or for when Lu barks or does something she's not supposed to do. it works like a dream.

Holy shit, you've got a real champion! He was rocking the racetrack in '06, but looked like he stopped giving a shit in '07.

The adoption league here has quite a few decorated dogs. One showed promise at Wheeling Downs winning 3 of 17 but had to retire due to a strained hock. Lots of interesting history to read about with greyhounds.
