Today my craptastic condo is a little better because IBWIP (who is the best) fixed the toilet which ran all the time. Thanks honey! Soon we will get a new front door which is exciting too. We just have to go through our town's application process before we can replace it. Then we won't have a door that leaks massive amounts of air!

Tell me about your minor and annoying yet necessary home projects. We all have them.

Also, my husband rocks! :heart:

I usually capture them alive then toss them out the door, but this little fella was hunkered in and not cooperating, so he got the squish & flush treatment.
I can only help those that want to be helped.
 
I had to replace the impeller and seal on the hot tub last week. This weekend, I hope to install a security camera and purchase wood for some bookshelves.
 
i can always crunch my own spiders unless they're too high. i reserve the bugsquashing requests for those repulsive palmetto bugs. eeeeeeechhhh.

also, my rule of thumb is that those critters are in MY house. i don't kill them outdoors if it can be helped, but my house is mine. sometimes i'm nice and release them free, but i have to like them. or be by a door.
and then i think...all that time to put them out and they become food for the birds. but then i think i'm doing the birds a favor so it's still better to put them out. and then i think that i could just keep throwing out all my leftover food to the birds and critters and it's ok to squash and not release. and then i get tired of thinking about it.
 
I killed a huge grasshopper that was eating our plants. I never used to have a problem with it, but hanging around April made me feel bad for doing it. In reality, I think its probably better than dying from the pesticides that I put on them tho...

Im fixing to put some pesticide on my lawn this weekend to kill the grubs that are eating the roots & killing it. Ill put that pesticide down and hope they all die and burn in hell, and Ill laugh about it the whole time.

I have a phobia of insects, arachnids, and all things crawling.

Generally, when I see bugs in my apartment, I leave them alone unless they start to get near me, since they tend to disappear after that.

Out of sight, out of mind, right?
