If you pass sniper school you will be living on sand dune #3142.

I would think basic in San diego would be more pleasant than Parris Island. Besides the fact that all women go to Parris island.

if I pass the school one of two things happens: I get involuntarily activated and assigned to a s/s platoon, possibly with a recon battalion or I get my choice of reserve platoons around the country. I imagine door #1 is a lot more likely than door #2

what I'm told is that the weather is easier to deal with but the san diego marines get to march up and down the socal mountains while the ones in south carolina get relatively flat lands

also, it's right on the airport. so what I hear is that often when DIs are screaming a plane will take off which means they'll have to stop screaming which makes them angrier so they scream even more when the plane is gone :|

flynavy are you already working on your running and PT? 3 miles in 28 minutes is not an easy feat. I'd cough up a lung.

1.5 miles in 13:30, two pullups and 35 situps in two minutes

the three mile run is at the end

I'm getting in my daily (nightly, more like it) running. Just got some new shoes to take with me so I'm breaking them in and I got some orthotics to help with the arches

Even once life returns to normal (for me and Eileen, I mean) Quantico is still only 70 miles from where we ostensibly live. Of course, travel time will range from 90 mins to 4 hours depending on traffic. Plus, you'll have a place to come and eat food that doesn't require a pint of ketchup in order to make it edible.
