washers are usually easy as hell to fix...generally a hose or belt is all it takes and you just pull the back off for access

Thats not the problem. When I run a cycle with detergent it leaves the bowl filled with suds. I have to run a second cold water cycle without detergent to rinse the suds off.

It's one of those fancy Maytag Neptunes I bought almost 8 years ago.

try flashing it with a new os? :fly:

How do I do that? I know it drains, sounds like it always did.
you have to wait by it until it finishes the wash cycle and spin cycle and is just about to start pouring water back in for the rinse cycle. open it then to make sure that all the water drained out and the clothes inside aren't completely sopping wet.

if it's drained properly and then completes the rinse and second spin cycle there'd be no reason for the water to be soapy.

my focking neighbor borrowed my lawn mower last week and broke it.

i'm sitting in the house and i hear something begin to go "wheeeeeeeeee", like a real high pitched noise.. sounded like somebody had begun to use a chain saw next door ( i assumed not the next door that was using the mower)

well, come to find out dude ran it up against a tree or something and screwed up the choke and it was burning hot as hell (i could smell it) and was runninng at like 5 million revs per minute..

dude: "man, I thought I heard something change, but I just assumed it was my ears popped open"

:angryredguy:

so he's been waiting a week for me to find the receipt , which i've not been able to do. AND he just lost his job. so.. iono. hope to get it rectified soon, grass (scratch that, weeds) over a foot high now.

brutal. with any luck it can be repaired easily... unless he kept running it after it broke until the engine seized up. if that happened then it's probably fubar. (repairability)
