isn't it focked up when kids have on brand new jordans and matching brand new outfit (and new ones every few weeks) but get a free lunch?

I remember in HS they said I could apply for free lunch :fly: My mom is an RN and my dad is an electrical engineer, both make good money and live in a 600k house. I never understood that, at all. I knew quite a few people who were pretty well off yet were getting free lunch. Back then in Tarpon though as long as you had it in middle school you got it in high school.

Knyte drives past a trailer park every day on the way to work that always has brand new trucks and escalades and such parked in it. I guess if anything ever happens to their house they can just live in their vehicles and not be downgrading much.

We also lived across from a government subsidized apartment community at one point and saw the same type of vehicles for all these people getting cheap rent.

Those are freakin crazy when you see someone on 26 inch rims worth about 10k after tires on a 60k dollar truck yet they cant afford 100 bucks a week in rent. Sell your rims and tires and you can afford 2 years rent. :fly:

I've seen a good bit of it in SD and after 5 secs I can tell a vast difference

wouldn't categorize it necc as priorities, though that's certainly relevant. the fact that people hustle the system (pay taxes anyone?) and get away with it bothers me.

i remem when i first graduated. there was a hiring freeze for teachers so i did construction, worked at a rec center, bounced ("you don't want none o' this 190 pounds buddy!" lmao).

had 3 roomies cause none of us could afford to live alone.

had my kid over on wknds with no bed, just pulled couch cushions off and made pallets for him.

and to go into the store and see people in line ahead of me buying surf and turf with food stamps, and i'm eatin pasta 3 nights a week and "splurging" on hamburger helper workin 3 jobs..

well, something's wrong there. "-(

i know families here that are hardworking, simply underemployed, but generally hardworking people. (not smart, mind you, but at least honorably and gainfully employed) these people's kids got 2 pair of pants, 4 shirts, dirty shoes, whatever.

but they bust they butts to get school supplies in and pay for their kids lunch.

and then some lil mofo walks in in fresh a$$ jordans ($140+ mind you), a new outfit every week, and got EXTRA money for a snack EVERY day, but gettin free lunch.

i mean, one would logically think that if you got money for an extra cookie or ice cream sandwich YOU GOT FOCKING MONEY TO BUY THE LUNCH..

oh, fresh to death, and not a pencil or notebook to their name.. "That's what they got schools for."

i've heard it said.. literally.. about supplies.

office lady told me the story yesterday about people dropping their kids off late .. 945 or so (books take up at 8:40, breakfast over at 830) adn they're like "you better FEED my kid!!!"..

ma'am, you're over an hour late and you didn't have time to feed 'em??

i should write a book.. or quit.
