I think Krispy Kreme is more of a southern thing .. most of the northern states I've been to I never saw one .. I saw Dunkin Doughnuts instead. Seems we like yeast doughnuts down here and they prefer cake ones up there.
the Kruellers are cake doughnuts, the glazed ones and filled ones are yeast doughnuts .. 2 toooootally different birds

Yeah, a few years back we FINALLY got one up here, then 3 or 4 sprouted up.

DD's problem, is that very few stores make them on site these days so they're not that fresh.
When fresh, they are pretty good but small bakeries easily blow them away.
