Where have all the fireflies gone?

Careful. With a list like that they might lock down the schools in your area.

Global warming and pollution levels. At least I can make that claim in Cleveland. In other areas, I don't know.

I haven't looked in a couple years (but now that you've reminded me we'll have to take Haylee out next year) but there still seem to be plenty of lightning bugs in rural Utah.

none here in the desert, last i saw them, i was back east @ my parents house...

and they were few and far between...

there were none in mobile, ala. either, so i'm thinking it's your location. i don't know why, but i remember missing them in mobile for the four years i was there.

Edit: Scratch the KY Jelly, I'll just wait till the fireflies repopulate and then tear off all their asses and make glow in the dark lube.

There are no outdoor lights near the 'Ranch, can still see the Milky Way there

It's amazing how many stars you can't see in the city. In Dallas we get the 7 or 8 bright ones, and when we go out to the desert in New Mexico we get 7 or 8 billion. The entire damn sky is one big white glittering sheet.
