man, even Windows' backup tool is shit. The only redeeming thing is that you can move the drives from machine to machine and windows' software RAID will pick it right back up.

Just started the Ryzen from scratch. After a few fits and starts (mostly related to trying to keep the old machine "activated" as long as possible to try and get windows' backup tools to work), it's up and running. I'm moving things off the old array now, onto the M.2 drive (250-ish GB), before I nuke the array and stick it on the Areca 1280 that @fly sent me to play with.

Fuckin' hate windows. So irritating.

I mean, technically you could probably have gotten the old drive to boot and reactivated Windows, but that would have just caused you problems down the road. Also, you can get Windows licenses pretty cheap (iirc <$20) if you'd like to keep both functioning.

I don't care about keeping the old one functioning.

Its processor and mainboard are headed straight into the server, I think. The server's currently on a 3770, and the 4770's a tiny bit newer. If the RAM is the same, I'll swap it. If not, fuck it, the server's doing all the server's things without too much trouble.

I'll pull the SATA SSD from the old machine and see if I can't pull the old user data off it, too.

Then all I have to fritter down from the intertubes are arduino IDE, cura, Fusion 360 (if it's still free), and whatever else the kids want on the damn thing.

i use all linuxserver containers when i can. They seem to be cleanest/most standard. Used to use hotio... and that was not good
I use binhex, which has worked great. But he doesn't add shit until release. So I'd have to switch. Was hoping you already were dogfooding it for me. :D

Interesting. Recyclarr does not.

Have you run all your old shit through the new naming schemes?
yah, taht is the bare minimuum option

trash + notifiarr dev partnered to develop a full capability. That video I linked you that you said you had already linked me is what described that
