Advice You're Elongated Musk and You Just Bought Useless Forums, how do you ruin it?

How do you square the ideas that CEO compensation reflects value and that in-office work is "better", with Musk being CEO of four (4) companies who tweets and games and struggles to carry sink basins while he destroys people's livelihoods?
I forgot I made all those arguments. Thanks for reminding me!

In more evidence that Musk is an idiot.

I know it's really fun for you to blow Musk things out of proportion, but we've all worked for bosses that would do that for calling them an idiot in public. Is it dumb? Sure. Have we all worked with/for people like this? Of course. This is another nothing-burger.

And the poster clearly doesn't get it either. This is *exactly* how free speech works. There's no such thing as 'no repercussion speech'.

In soviet Russia...

I don't disagree but it's a bad look and poor leadership.

My guy, no. The man is not bright. And I'm not talking about just firing the guy, but all of it.
Let's lay this out
  1. Last time he was in the nuts and bolts of any machine's code on a regular basis was Zip2, and he may not have even been doing it then. Thats 30 years back. He is woefully uneducated to be talking about this as a subject expert.
  2. Since he isn't a subject expert, he needs to call on one to help him write the tweet. Slack, an email, something would have done this. Obviously he didn't.
  3. He posted his ignorance (again) on a public space allowing anyone to respond, and they did.
  4. And this is the biggest one. He fired the guy. This is a slam dunk for a wrongful termination suit.
If any other CEO did one of the above, they would be laughed at and forgotten Three or more and they'd be called an idiot and immortalized in meme history.

#4 alone is enough to say the man is an idiot.

IDK, I've worked for a few bosses who could be charitably described as Mercurial, and I stuck with them then because the work was interesting.

I can't imagine finding work at Twitter, Tesla, and to a lesser extent SpaceX rewarding, so I would expect their slow decline (though SpaceX will simply bloat out into a traditional government contractor, I have no doubt).

my biggest thing with this tweet exchange in particular is, don't publicly throw your employees under the bus to begin with, whether what you're blaming them for is true or not; but, if you do, you're an absolute fool if you expect them to just take it and not say something.

Again, your hatred is making you blow things out of proportion. This doesn't even fucking matter. There's tons of dumb things he's doing, but to point this out as one of them just sad.
