I'm not sure what you got but roofing materials are available, they aren't cheap but they're available if you didn't get something weird.
Yeah I can see that being backordered... Stone coated steel... Hm...I'm getting this stuff: https://westlakeroyalroofing.com/product-profile/steel/
This miter saw has been fantastic by the way. Its light enough I can just carry it where needed without effort, and i made about 50-60 cuts without even denting the battery on trim and 2x4 non-nominal the other day.Awesome deal on some Ryobi gear if you're in that battery system

Although not the most powerful, having a battery powered miter saw is super super handy. Jigsaw is basically a freebie.
yep. dewalt rarely goes on sale. That's crazy awesome.
I've got a DeWalt drill and driver. But I see no need to pay DeWalt prices, as I assume all this stuff is cheaper.
I'm fine with that. With power tools, I buy most of them from Harbor anyway. If/when they break, that means I used it and buy quality. I have a 15 year old circular saw from them that I'm still waiting to break.yep. dewalt rarely goes on sale.
It isnt the same quality though. Its technically excellent, but homeowner grade in quality
I'll believe it on the 30thAfter pestering the contractors for a week, my fuckin' roof is going in on the 28th.
Paid for the special order materials on the 29th of April.
Dewalt is on sale a lot, you just have to look for it, i.e. not Home Depot.yep. dewalt rarely goes on sale.

Thanks!@fly the stupid rebates for the stupid "inflation reduction act" are so complicated they made a website to help you figure out when to buy what because apparently they think anyone is going to have any money in the next few years and we aren't going to descend into a Mad Max style dystopian future.

Completely not what I was getting at but ok. (A used Tesla 3 costs more than 10 acres and a farm in NY and the government wants to stop those uppity workers from getting jobs, you disenfranchise an entire generation and send them to war? lol). Thanks!
At one point, people thought we'd devolve into shit by putting kids in school instead of the farm. Millions of people before and after that era have predicted the same thing. All of them continue to be wrong.
You're babbling again.Completely not what I was getting at but ok. (A used Tesla 3 costs more than 10 acres and a farm in NY and the government wants to stop those uppity workers from getting jobs, you disenfranchise an entire generation and send them to war? lol).
Yeah I heard about it on NPR. Probably the only valuable public resource apart from libraries left.
No, you can run UF in conduit. So I'm finally getting around to putting an outlet on our patio and following this guide:
How to Bury Underground Cable
Running electric cable to a garage or garden pond? Learn about code requirements and options for depth of trench and conduit material.www.familyhandyman.com
While it says as long as its protected by a GFCI outlet upstream, I can direct bury UF at 12", would there be anything inherently dangerous putting it in PVC at that depth? Specifically, is there anything weird about UF that would prevent it from ever going in PVC?
You can put it in conduit. Kinda dumb since it's meant to be direct buried but w/eSo I'm finally getting around to putting an outlet on our patio and following this guide:
