It's not hard to grasp. I do want to help people. I've done policework. I don't trust the police. They aren't some sort of mutually exclusive concepts.

You are rolling all kinds of stereotypical bullshit into each concept.
I know a woman who was in school to be a cop, then she realized she wouldn't be able to do good as a cop. She works for a youth nonprofit now.

You don't have to go to school to be a cop so...
Cops needing less training than hairstylists is a big problem. She was studying criminal justice, wanted to be a cop. It was probably actually learning about the job that turned her off.

Maybe a badge will give you the confidence you need to eat out alone?

Most have degrees in things other than riminal justice. I was actually told it's a negative in the hiring process.

It varies by department though, WI most cops have a 4 year degree. It's when you get more south it changes. All federal law enforcement goes through Quantico, except like MPs. State Troopers are almost always college graduates with 8-13 week training and a year with a training officer, Police, tend to be highly trained even if they are fucking useless, think volunteer firefighters with guns. Sheriff's Deputies and Constables are who you have to be careful around, last I checked some have 0 training and little oversight.

Hair stylists don't have an 8 week academy EVERYDAY and a year of probation with a TO. Your comment is ignorant.

I went through a different route, mostly based on insurance lol You ever bond a "security company". Christ, I've had the dumbest rules, you are supposed to arrest people but
