Ontopic The Shooting Thread

what happens when the inevitable accidental killing of a student occurs?
Or a less than vigilant teacher let's a student get a hold of their gun.
I just don't like the idea.
I guess The teacher would have to carry it on them at all times. It'd be pretty useless locked in a desk.

Friend of mine is a teacher. In grade school kids can be quiet as fuck. She was sitting and talking with her assistant when she realized one of her kids had walked up behind her and was braiding her hair for a minute or so without her k knowing.

What if we stopped letting shithouse crazies have unrestricted access to guns?
Yep. I haven't even touched that subject yet. So far I've just been on the arming teachers debate. Last time I mentioned "restrictions" for the mentally unstable some folks here got all bent out of shape. I don't think many of those folks post here anymore though.

My wife has a shirt that is all tasseled at the bottom because the two year old snuck up with scissors and snipped 72 tiny cuts into it.... and she didnt feel a thing.

even mandatory waiting periods would go a long way. There aint no legitimate reason you need a gun right now, today, no questions asked. If you're that imminently in danger, get an emergency protective order that authorizes you to bypass the waiting period.

3+ day waiting period.
Background checks.
Restrictions on certain types of firearms.
Training and testing to get permits to open/conceal carry.
History of violence? Sorry, no guns for you.

You can't be serious with that shit. Of course he won't, it might damage his position that guns make his dick hard and therefore can't be regulated or restricted, ever.
Idk how he doesn't getting whiplash going from "I wanna be a cop to help people" to "cops are worthless that's why I need guns" to "it's accountability's fault that cops stood around while kids were murdered" over and over.

It's not hard to grasp. I do want to help people. I've done policework. I don't trust the police. They aren't some sort of mutually exclusive concepts.

You are rolling all kinds of stereotypical bullshit into each concept.
