Is LineageOS still the benchmark rom? Any roms that are specifically geared towards privacy/security, like nothing being tracked?

Btw, I paid $300 for a Lightphone II, which is arguably one of the shittiest phones. Love it.

Looking for roms for my G7 Power, which is how I use the internet.

So this is crazy. When I bought my Pixel 6 Pro, I got $80 in credit from the Google Store. I used it to buy accessories for Ape and me, totaling $89. Eventually Google charged me $89 through Paypal, even though my receipt said I would be charged $9. When I contacted them, they told me to pound sand. So I filed a dispute with Paypal, who gave me the $80 back. Come to find out, I still have an $80 credit at the Google Store.

Thanks to Google's complete ineptitude, this has been an amazing deal. They allowed us both to cancel the free Buds, knocking $99 off the price of the phone, then sent us the Buds anyway. And now I'm going to end up with $160 in store credits from them too.

In HS I ordered 3 pairs of shoes (~$160) from Zappos, and couldn't find them once they were delivered. Zappos sent replacements and like three weeks later the first box showed up on our porch. Explained the situation to Zappos and they had me return the originals and then refunded me. I think I even let them know about the goof and they gave me "vip", 1-day shipping, which I still use.

So I got three pairs of shoes and lifetime(?) 1-day shipping for free.

Had to replace a BT speaker, and it seems noticeably quieter than the same model it replaced. Chalked it up to tolerances or something. The other day I drove it with a different device (mp3 vs Spotify, so not a direct comp(?)) and it was much louder. Is it possible there's something limiting the volume on the G7 power?

The thing with changing oil in a parking lot is you buy the oil from a car parts store and ask if they mind if you change it in the lot. The employees have seen it all and generally dgaf so it's never a problem and you don't have to lug used oil around for disposal.

Its a rare occurrence to drive past an autoparts store and not see a car in the parking lot with the hood open.

There are plenty of rightfully miserable people working at a Walmart, unfortunately some of them like to share that misery and would call the cops.

Last time I did the oil the place didn't take filters but told me there was a trash can right outside the door and they weren't gonna watch.

Walmart here now contracts security. I know the DMV isnt representative of the country at large though. Food Lion and CVS run armed guards

I used to sleep in the parking lot cause no one would bother me and they were open 24/7 (bathroom). They've really clamped down since covid.

I would tend to think it was just the mp3 that was the culprit.
