Advice The Home Improvement/Automation Thread

Got this installed on my M1 Mac Mini server.

Works great so far. Tested it out with a spare Eufy 2K Indoor camera in RTSP mode.

Has plugins for HikVision, Amcrest, ONVIF, RTSP, shit like that.

Opens up a lot of possibilities for cameras with HomeKit.

It was actually already implemented in the Nabu code a few days ago. Not sure I'll switch back, but I still am having issues occasionally where a device times out. It works like 95% of the time now though.
I didn't actually realize you got around the implementing the good method. Good job getting that done, glad it worked easily

Still annoyed that it isn't perfect. Thinking of turning the Nabu version back on as the reports are that there are no longer any misses.

Fuck Samsung and their shitty microwaves.

There, I fixed it.
Same issue with my microwave. It's a GE I think. Came with the house. Handle broke off and the former owners glued on a furniture knob. Works fine. Don't really notice it. I actually kind of like it better than the long plastic bar handle that it originally came with.

Got a better pet door for the house, and the instructions were "stick the collar through the hole and trim flush with tin snips".

I wasted like a minute and a half with the tin snips and then said, "WTF, I've got a plasma cutter, this is dum". 30 seconds later, it was trimmed to fit, and I was on to the next step.

Tin snips are awful if you don't know how to use them. I don't know how to use them

I think GE rebrands samsung microwaves.
