Food TV shows that you may not be watching but should be

I know. I think I'm even dumber than I used to be. I read it for 15 minutes last night and put it down. Totally lost. And I even saw the movie recently. You'd think that knowing some of the names of shit would help, but no.

Just assign each character in the book to a person here. That should help straighten you out.

Dune is like, the least complicated Dune book. There are only 17ish main characters. The sequels are way more intense.

What's your favorite Sci Fi saga?
I'm a William Gibson nut so it's Neuromancer trilogy for me.
Gibson was abashed in a recent (+- 10 years) interview where he admitted the lack of cell phones really holds those characters back.
They could jack into the web through skull implants but didn't even have flipphones...

I havent read the book or seen the movie so I dont know if youre being a dick or not
You haven't read the book? For some reason I'm as surprised by that as I'm not surprised fly is having trouble with it.

In the movie he is played by Josh Brolin, if that helps. Kinda grumpy weapons and tactics trainer and mentor to Paul (main character) also plays a stringed instrument incredibly well.

I just started reading it, but I think I'm too dumb for it. I feel like I'm 30 pages in and there are already 20 characters. I can't keep track of all this.
Man, it's a confusing ass book. It's almost like a religious text.

And believe it or not, that's the easy book in the series to read.

They are very disconnected but Ursula LeGuin's Hainish Cycle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hainish_Cycle

For straight sci-fi it would have to be Vernor Vinge's Zone's of Thought novels. A Fire Upon the Deep etc.

These arent straight sequels, they are more like universe building some books are in parallel etc.

Straight up saga would probably be Foundation by Asimov
