I wonder if I might be sick. I'm a little sniffly, got a small tickle in my throat, and generally feel a bit run down and tired.

None of it is bad enough for me to definitively say I'm sick, and I can explain away each individual symptom, but they usually don't show up together unless its time for me to be sick.

May it pass quickly. yeah, every little bit of shit gets one wondering . . .

We drink very little of that.

And at the height of the pandemic, we were spending upwards of $200/week. Craft beer expensive yo!
I hear you on the "height of pandemic" shit. I was killing a pint a day, not counting beer. And massive amounts of food. "Forgive me waistline for I have sinned."
I was cleaning out my closet, found some 42 shorts I remember because they are kinda new. Summer of 2020. I'm at a much more svelte <34 now.

American Red Cross is currently facing a major blood shortage, and while I have some major issues with them as an org for a number of reasons, the unfortunate truth is that most hospitals get their blood products through ARC.

I know the hospital I work with has been forced to pause all major elective surgeries for 30 days because of this shortage (YSK: "elective surgery" does not mean "unnecessary surgery," it's a surgery that can be scheduled in advance, as opposed to emergency surgery).

I'm putting my monkey where my mouth is and donating on Monday, and if you meet eligibility requirements I urge you to do the same. You can download the ARC Blood Donor app to help coordinate finding a location near you with appointments.

for Red Cross locations, appointments are strongly encouraged but walk-ins are also welcome, you just risk having to wait or bring turned away if they're too busy at that particular moment with scheduled donors.

other options in WI include Blood Center of Wisconsin and ImpactLife locations (the latter serve WI and also IL, MO, and IA).

donations to locations that pay you for your donation do NOT go to hospitals.

I'd offer to do something for anyone that posts proof of donation but I don't have any giftable talents or an abundance of money or the attention span to remember to come back and follow through
