Guy I know shares a shop with two kiln repairmen. They are moving to a new shop and are downsizing.
Free. All of it. Gonna have my melt furnace soon. Burnout furnace. All of it.
Oh, also, there is a medium size kiln inside the big kiln, and inside of that and the two little kilns are fire brick. Probably $1000 in loose fire brick alone.

Best haul I've ever come across.

That's a very cool haul.
If the brick are marked on ends, K28 is for higher temps than K23, so use K28 for melting and anything you're putting element slots in. You'll have to wire past the kiln sitters on those but it's an easy job.

are you making a jet engine
A guy I know shares a shop with two guys that build, refurbish, install, and make service calls for kilns. One of the kiln guys messed up and the building owner did not renew their lease, so they all have to be out by the 1st. Basically between today and yesterday I went up there and picked up $4000-8000 worth of kilns and kiln related bits and pieces. Today one of the kilns we grabbed is a brand new Paragon, 14" I think. Its never been fired, and they go for $1000 or so.

Now I can build a furnace and foundry area so that I can melt metal and do my own casting.

you're gonna have to kikify it and explain what a kiln is.

Kiki has to maintain her air du valley girl (even though she's way smarter than she lets on)
