I must admit, it’s getting pretty hard trying to stick up for their actions. Cops are needed, but not these kind of coppers. Fuck them.

Like, nobody got rich while unions were strong or anything. The country never grew either, and a middle class never happened either.

Motherfucker

I was crying last night. I can’t let today start like that.

And those who think he was all that. Now they’re pissing on his grave because he’s not racist enough for them, or what the fuck. C’mon man.

Do something kind today.

I'm hitting up my pals in each union to find out how best to support them, like I already didn't plan to purchase farm equipment so I'm not worried about accidentally crossing that line, but IATSE is more confusing because it's got a lot more subsections to it.

If i lived in a more rural region, I would making a killing hacking john-deere stuff to help farmers get around their complete bullshit stance on right-to-repair or lack thereof.

this is some info from one of my friends about the IATSE stuff

they also sent me a link to @ia_stories on Instagram, which I've linked below but I think ig links come through weird sometimes on browser vs. using the app, so that's why I included the @ tag up there since it might just be easier to go directly to their account.

I was a Teamster for a decade. The John Deere contract the workers voted down doesn't sound that awful.

I saw this in a different article:

"In its latest offer, Deere bargained for incremental wage increases over six years, equal to about a $1.20 raise in hourly pay at the end of the six-year contract, according to employees. For the 2020 fiscal year, Deere & Co. net income totaled $2.751 billion, according to the company."

that barely covers inflation.

that barely covers inflation.
The CNN article I posted said there was also a separate cost of living wage increase which they pointed out would be rather significant right now when you take our current inflation into account. Cost of living increases are almost unheard of anymore in union contracts.
