Baby The Official Baby/Fetus/BirthCanal Thread

The 5 year old has had a mid-grade fever for 8 days now, and while she's largely ok and feeling decent one of the side effects is that she wakes up every 40 minutes at night super frustrated kicking and whining. This results in... less than optimal sleep for me and peanut.

Got desperate after a week of that, and tried some hippie remedies

Holy crap. She went to bed immediately, and slept like a rock for almost 12 hours without waking up once. I woke up a couple time to make sure she wasnt dead...

I was skeptical at first cause melatonin does nothing or less than nothing for me. But this stuff works so good youd think it was chloroform
Some scotch will cure that right up. For all of you.

this morning, she's also having to catch a breath in the middle of her sentences/words, BUT she's in an OK mood still at least. of course, while I was sitting there at urgent care with her for hours, my throat was getting sore & I thought maybe it was just dry air and the mask, but no, as soon as we got home my nose turned into a faucet and now I'm sick AF also (so plz excuse my combination sick/just woke up voice in the videos)

Those 360 cups are great eh

she loves it, we have some of the taller ones without handles, too, but we rotate through them all. she learned early on that if she throws it just right she can still make a big splash, and she's also learned about biting the flap to lift it and dump juice down her chest, but she's USUALLY pretty good about not doing those TOO often :fly:

we gave her some of the Zarbee's cough & mucus today, and whether it was that or just time I don't know, but she is at least breathing better today. we only had the infant one on hand, so agave instead of honey, but I went out today and got some of the same with honey for older kids. it doesn't stop her from coughing, which is good bc it's a gross wet cough so it's good to get that stuff out, but it's soothing at least. she is fighting against drinking Pedialyte right now and tbf I haven't found a flavor yet that I don't also think tastes gross so I can't really judge her.

i may have to beat up a 5 year old. First day of school some little shit spilled his milk on the ground, pulled off my kids mask, and threw in the milk.

Of course, the adults did nothing.

I think we're gonna skip the asking nicely not be a dipshit step, and teach our kiddo to go straight to shouting if someone messes with her. Cause lets me honest, asking nicely rarely works.

Go straight to the source, the other kids parents.

Teach them to punch people who pull your mask, IN the mask.

The Boy told me the other day he was mad at me but hadnt decided why yet
I said I thought he was a boy but now hes sounding like a girl
Then he says now he knows why hes mad at me
I relayed all this information to his mother and she agreed with my assessment
But he didnt get mad at her, just me
what a fuckin girl
