Hopefully that means the dumb mask mandate at work will be gone soon.
I wonder how many people will quit their jobs to own the libs.

Gonna be lots of nice job vacancies opening up with the government I bet.

Apparently this also gets applied to contractors bidding on government contracts. So even more job vacancies.

NM has some kind of vaccination database now that my employer can just look at.

I've had a lot of tetanus vaccinations.
I think the standard recommendation for adults is every ten years, and then if you get a questionable puncture they'll have you get another if your last was >5 years (even if it was <10) but they're also safe to get more often, like they recommend pregnant women get it during every pregnancy (bc if you get it at the right time, you pass some of the pertussis immunity to the fetus)

Wisconsin has a state db, too, and it's set up in a way that's pretty easy for people to look up their own records; some other states that have databases make you jump through a lot of hoops to get your own info and others have databases with no public access. I assume some states may not have a statewide db at all but I can't tell you one off the top of my head since I mostly deal with WI immunizations.

I've had to submit a bunch of stuff to them lately, if our patients got their COVID vaccine(s) out of state, we're entering it into our EMR as usual but we've also been submitting it to the WIR since that's one they're more likely to need to be able to reference and it's nice to have it all in one spot.

I also have always done a bunch with submitting like that for all the dozens of childhood imms for kids that moved here from out of state - it sucks to have to try and keep track of everything if it's partitioned across different databases with varying levels of access, but if I only enter it into our EMR, they still have to jump through hoops to request/get it

I bet Jason's gonna have a bunch too, now that he's cutting on that Pontiac.

My state insurance doesn’t provide me with a ten year shot. I work with heavy machinery outside, including a fair amount of demolition. It’s expensive without insurance too. Doc told me the insurance is stupid but not to worry because they will cover if I get a questionable cut.

OTOH, the only people who really politically benefit from it are people like DeSantis who have painted themselves into the Q corner. They can now make (political) hay with DEM TYRANNY while not losing any more supporters to COVID.

Biden is knocking it out of the park. Its been a long time since i could say I was proud of my President, but when he stepped up this morning and said the Fed Gov would pay the salaries of any teachers that were punished for violating mask bans, I was proud to have a leader like that.

Since 2007, I've had 5 tetanus vaccines.

They correspond roughly to the times I've gone into the doctor's office for stitches, which are almost invariably caused by the Datsun.
is it that rusty? i generally only go in for a shot if i get a deep puncture on something reallly dirty. Like a nail thats been in the dirt

Not anymore (through a long, concerted effort on my part), but I have the roadster to work on now, that is even more rusty than the Z was when I started with it.

that's awful >:[ you should also have been able to get it because of having babies, the pertussis part of the Tdap (vs. just the Td booster) is super important for anyone in close contact with newborns to be protected against (but that's also from a medical perspective & not insurance, who are out to make $, so I'm angry but I'm not surprised).

I did not know that. I could check to see If my wife’s pregnancy covers me, doubtful.
