I'm still WFH so it doesn't affect me much day to day, but I'm glad my job does still have precautions in place.

Well, we'll probably be headed back to a mask mandate if this delta variant continues to pick up speed.
Irony being what it is, it probably wouldn't be picking up speed if everyone just kept the mask on.
Most all the new infections around here are from anti-vaxers too.
YEAP!! (In the spirit of Storage Wars) https://www.texastribune.org/2021/07/21/coronavirus-texas-vaccinated-deaths/

Of the 8,787 people who have died in Texas due to COVID-19 since early February, at least 43 were fully vaccinated, the Texas Department of State Health Services said.

That means 99.5% of people who died due to COVID-19 in Texas from Feb. 8 to July 14 were unvaccinated, while 0.5% were the result of “breakthrough infections,” which DSHS defines as people who contracted the virus two weeks after being fully vaccinated.

but the problem is that in a BUNCH of states, those people at risk are 60% of the population. This thing isnt done. Only 49.3% of the US is fully vaccinated. One does doesnt do shit against delta, but even if it did, 52% of the US has one dose.

Thats 180 MILLION people that are at risk of getting sick and dying. We're gonna be right back in the days of ICUs overwhelmed again soon

It's pretty alarming the amount of people who advocate injecting others against their will like hello doctor mengele.

I'm not for mandatory vaccinations, but I am definitely in the camp that's getting pretty sick and tired of the antivax bullshit going on r/n.

I'm all for making it very socially painful for the unvaccinated, though. Like to the extent that I don't think unvaccinated kids should be allowed in school, or unvaccinated adults should be allowed to participate in any outside social or business events. No concerts, no restaurants, no nothing, and link the fucking DOH databases that they've maintained to get vaccinations into arms to admission into anything and everything.

im for mandatory consequences if you arent vaccinated by your own choice. You can be unvaxxed, just keep your ass at home, and dont go anywhere near other people. Ever.

No sporting events for you, no eating out, no haircuts, no travel, no schools or public places
