Food The (not so) delicious food thread

We moved from buying cheap store branded ketchup (catsup?) and Hunt’s and switched to Portland Ketchup and never went back. It has less sugar and salt than cheap stuff and is way better.

On another note, McDonalds is trying to compete with Popeyes and Chick Fil-a with their own Crispy Chicken Sandwich, it comes three ways; Classic, Hot & Spicy, and Deluxe. The “Classic” only has pickles. No Mayo, no nothing. And barely even has pickles.

The chicken filet isn’t awful, and the sandwich is worth the $4 asking price. Not a penny more though.
I've had the spicy, actually has buffalo-ish sauce, whereas most are just spiced. Decent enough, I think they're brined, but I got upcharged to get lettuce and tomato on it.

meh, what's more a little more sacrilege when he's putting it on a cheese-filled one.
Can do what he wants I just never heard someone use bratwurst to refer to a large class or general group of various sausages. Always considered it a more specific thing, like chorizo or andouille and such.

I actually missed the convo - ah, Jeh. I thought for sure it was immi being referenced although you guys are usually gentler on him.. I would agree a Brat is a pretty tight definer. Those chicken & apple andouille sausage are not brats. Ring Bologna and fat hotdogs are not brats. Summer sausage isn't brat. Ketchup on brat would be more desirable than mustard on same, to me. Just relish (maybe some catsup), unless we have the grilled peppers and onions going on.
