well, lucky you guys.

Our governor has let the power go to her head, and isn't letting anybody here do shit. Even at "green" status, we only get 50% occupancy.
I doubt we'll have anything open before the summer. It's another lost year. And really this is a global issue which won't be solved for years, if ever, so.... :iono:Wil life ever go back to what it was?

Of course. Things are mostly back to normal in China even without the vaccine. Hell, @APRIL's sister is in Taiwan and they're so on it that they only had 7 people die. TOTAL

Westerners are just fucking idiots.

I mentioned that because it really isn't a global issue. There are huge swaths of the Earth where this really isn't a problem. And with the vaccine base growing, it will become less and less of a problem for us stupid Westerners too.
Africa's a pretty big place that won't be vaccinated for a fuck ton of time man.

Okay? I mean, they will, and the world will help them. But that won't likely have much of an effect on you.

I was just trying to point out that things aren't all doom and gloom. There's tons of places where things are normal or normal-ish, and that's getting better every day.

Virus found in France in November 2019, a month before 'patient zero' in Wuhan. It would be funny if this actually turns out to have started in the US, like the 1918 pandemic.

I thought the wuhan patient zero was bullshit though, and it was more like september to late august, because we were already seeing US cases by novemeber

If it turns out it started here, we'll need a catchy name for. One that clearly defines it as American and degrades us as a society so bigots have something to cheer about.

I got swabbed, both nostrils up to behind my eyeballs, in July 2019 while in the hospital. The nurse didn’t know why the test was ordered, but they use that same swabbing technique for lots of stuff. I was sick for six weeks solid prior to the hospital stay and swabbing, with identical symptoms to Covid. I’ve been suspicious of the timeline of this thing since it broke.

It’s not as though our government has always been honest with us about this kind of stuff, uh, ever.

definitely heard something in october 2019
talks of virus mutations and collecting samples to find cures have been going on since the late nineties if not earlier but the projects never got enough funding
something like that
