Food TV shows that you may not be watching but should be

So. The Expanse killed off Kamal (because the actor was being a creep IRL), but they've pretty solidly set up Bull to be his replacement for season 6.

Last I heard, they were stopping after season 6 (which would be the pursuit of Inaros/Babylon's Ashes), and yet at the very end of season 5, they cover the Barkeith heading through the ring to Laconia, and the end credits of the ep show the Laconia shipyard. I don't see how they could possibly do the Laconia arc + the end of the Free Navy in 10 episodes.

Here's hoping for some more seasons, I guess, rather than skullfucking the last season like GoT.
They handled that well, thats a direct swap of another character in the book that died in the same way (Fred Johnson). In the book, Fred was with them after the attack on Tycho station hunting Marco and he stroked out during a hard burn.

Its an appropriate place to "pause" the series once they get Marco. The other books are almost a phase II since theres a time jump, and the whole duarte/"darkness between the spaces" timeline is a separable story.

They wont do the laconia arc, thats part of the time jump. The laconia gate stays closed up for like 10-15 years.

Yep, I'm cool with the way they swapped it up, except that (and I'm totally @Mr. Asa 'ing it here) the way Naomi was rescued from the Chetzmoka was totally better in the books (Bobby on a torpedo, running from the Free Navy on one side towards the UNN on the other). It did give the sfx a little sparkle though, with the missile attack that brought Drummer to her run-and-gun role in the next book, which I guess I appreciate.

Yeah, I know the time jump happens, but Amazon only confirmed 6 seasons, so you think there'll be an "Expanse Phase 2" with new actors?

they could age folks up. I think by the end of the phase II holden is like 50. Thats not a huge jump to cover with some hair and makeup.

The latest ive seen is just that its a pause, not a cancellation.

Maybe the pause is for Franck/Abraham to finish Leviathan Falls, since that's not coming out until late this year. Persepolis Rising and Tiamat's Wrath both seem like they could be compressed a bit into a single season of TV though.

The Expanse is great because intellectuals like you guys enjoy the depth and morons like me like the shiny objects.

Ignorance is sorta blissy

Anyone watch Battle Bots on the science channel?
I love watching home-made micro tanks beat the shit out of eachother
The engineering behind them tho can range from amazing to just retarded
The Boy watches it with me and we even got the wife interested

I think I may enjoy WandaVision a little more if I had half a grasp on the Marvel Universe, but I’m still catching on and digging it. Each episode seems to reveal a little more of what is really happening.

I learned this morning via IMDb that Wanda is the Olsen twins little sister. I kinda thought so.

What are you missing?

It seems to somewhat be mirroring the House of M from the comics. Basically in the comics Wanda lost her kids and had a break from sanity. Her reality-bending powers went haywire and completely rewrote the world.
In the cinematic universe her brother and then her boyfriend Vision got killed. I haven't watched the most recent episode, but it appears that she's gone a bit crazy in the show and has resurrected Vision somehow and gathered other magic users for some reason
