Advice The Home Improvement/Automation Thread

At least do some painting and staining FFS. That 2X is a bit ghetto - it's probably fine but looks :tard:-idly undersized. Idea: get two pieces of 1X whatever-those-joist-are and slap a piece on each side of the 2X. Little boxed look.

The idea is to panel the whole ceiling with v-notch pine, and redo the screens as well.

So that 2x4 would be adjusted to be flush to the rafters when the time comes.

N0 - Romex shouldn't be placed in conduit because it runs even hotter. It's already double jacketed. It was designed specifically for the open wiring of residential construction. Inside.
Cite chapter and verse in the NEC or shut the fuck up. The only place NMB isn't allowed is in wet locations.

If that ceilings getting closed in then it doesnt matter
If it was staying open, I would definitely use conduit-appropriate wiring, because I couldnt look at that shit all stapled around like that all the time
