Thread This just in! Cats suck massholes. Film @ 11.

That's possible. Not near as numerous as coyote but possible. They ever heard one scream out there?

Be cool to see what it is. I'm hoping for chupacabra!
They've seen bobcats here and there, but a neighboring ranch likes to kill them. :(

Usually they know when the coyotes are around as they yip and they haven't heard them in a long time.

Watch it be some huge bird of prey. The two cats they recently lost rarely go outside at night unless my parents are with them.
There's eagles where I used to live in NY and my aunt's cat would sit in this picture window. Literally happened twice when I was there the eagles would come down and try to get the cat and hit the window.

@APRIL

Ya'll ever have a cat that just quit using the litter box outta the blue? Fly is being a jerk and keeps pooping on the rug (same spot no matter how well we clean it).

I havent changed the litter, i havent changed the location of the box. Some stuff changed in the room the box is in.

She poops fine outside, and I havent seen her pee anywhere not in the box.

I know they can be super picky about changes, but I really havent changed anything i dont think. Need to get her back to using the box

I know this is at April but I had a cat do the same. Except it was peeing.

She'd crap in the litter box then pee on the carpet. I had to burn my shoes. We took the carpet out. Put down hard surface. Same thing. She was just broken or something. Nothing ever changed it was just out of the blue.

When they do something like that (out of character) they're telling you something's wrong. Listen to them.

I had a cat doing something very similar and I ended up trying a bunch of different things but what worked was moving the litter boxes. They had been in the same places for ten years and as soon as I moved one to the most unpleasant (for me) place, she started using it again.

Good luck. It can be maddening.

This. It's a pain, but may be worth a vet visit.

Anal glands might need expressing? Dehydrated because of possible kidney issue so poop is hard to get out?
yeah, its time for their yearly checkup anyway. That cat has had anal gland problems as a kitten

Poop doesnt seem hard to get out at all, its "normal"ish. Not hard.

Assuming there's nothing medically wrong, and she's pooping in the same spot - move the litter box there temporarily. If it works, slowly move it back.

middle of the damn living room isnt exactly gonna work.

then agian, she's only doing it at night, so i guess that could work?

She was pooping in one spot, and i put a blue pad there to make cleanup easier, and as soon as I put the pad she abandoned that spot

Just put it there for a day as a test to see if she uses it.

My neighbor's cat Diego. He's pretty cool. Hangs out at my house, because he wants to "meet" my two girls inside. My neighbor claims he is fixed.

My neighbor stopped me as I was checking my mail tonight to tell me his cat (pictured above) died suddenly this afternoon. He buried him out back in my yard by the barn cat we buried last fall. Damn, he was broken up about losing his cat. I liked the cat too. He'd always come over in the morning and evening to ask for food which I was happy to oblige.

Man, fuck 2020.
