Advice The Home Improvement/Automation Thread

head shattered on the weed whacker yesterday, got a new head for 14 bucks, well worth it. Installed hte new head, gave a tune up, went to start it, and the recoil starter busted.

This things getting old, but I do love how cheap the parts are. Whole new recoil started with the blow molded plastic chassis is only 15 bucks. the busted coil spring is 10, and i have to recoil a spring. I will pay 5 dollars to not do that.

Is the new head the same size as your last one or did you get a smaller model?

identical.

Two more problems have since identified themselves since. the thing may have just reached its end of life as it was a refurb to start with

I gotta get the drive belt to reliably stay on the Murray, and tweak up the ramp on the front of the shed to make driving the thing in/out of the shed a lot easier. Hopefully with that done, the missus will be out mowing the lawn too.

Riding mower definitely makes mowing the yard more fun, especially now that I have a beer cupholder on there.

What about Bonnie McMurray? 🥰

Murray for reference.
