WTF Bad boys, Bad boys, whatcha gonna do

she is alleged to have damaged 5 police cameras, each with its own charge, and even if she did it doesnt warrant this
do you think this looks like a typical arrest?

also she may or may not have broken the law, that she is alleged to have done so does not make her guilty and you're really out here acting like anyone that gets accused of a crime should have whatever done to them. why have a legal system at all?
So what so bad really happened? She got gently put into the back of a police vehicle?

Also life pro tip, people don't like to get arrested. The faster you secure them the safer everyone is (including them).

She'll get a phone call once she's booked. Shit in MD she'd probably get released after meeting the commissioner. (Only state I've ever been in that operates like that)

in this video, you can more clearly see the beginning of the arrest, where she is snatched off her skateboard by non-uniformed could-be-random dudes and thrown into the unmarked van, the bike cops didn't show up until after. it also doesn't look gentle. she is also a trans woman, so there are concerns about where she will be held.

also, NYPD has been "losing" people after they're booked & "forgetting" to give people phone calls.

I mean. If you shoplift at target/Macy's/nordstrom you'll get pretty much the same treatment. Some dude in a polo will drag you into the backroom.

And they don't give you a phone call and no you can't use the bathroom, that's why the bench has holes and there is a floor drain.

The protocol for most places is biological sex. I don't deal with corrections. I've turned down huge corrections offers because I just don't like the system etc.

a dude in a polo is not a cop, and if I do not comply with letting him manhandle me, I will not be cited with resisting arrest, nor will he legally be allowed to beat the shit out of me in retaliation

Doesn't have to be police. Lots of people can make arrests. Sheriffs, security (depends on state), special police, duly authorized agents of the federal government.

Yes you will, and yes you will. Also people don't get beat for resisting, they are forced to comply.

See the lanyards? That's ID.

If she still has the weiner that is usually a good hand-hold that gets their immediate attention and compliance.

Keep dreaming sunshine. All bets are off as soon as you are perceived to not being compliant.

loss prevention at most stores is just random employees assigned to that role.

also
"Also people don't get beat for resisting, they are forced to comply." lmao ok. and I wasn't stealing anything, I was tactically acquiring it, you might even say liberating it.

yeah, sure, why not, let's add sexually assaulting people to the list of what y'all are OK with

and many stores, especially ones that just have regular employees as LP, aren't supposed to make "an arrest," they may allow the LP person to approach someone to ask them questions, they may *ask* to search your person or belongings (but are not allowed to search if you do not consent) and the best they can hope for is that you'll comply with detainment until cops arrive.

Dude, it's really not. Target stakes out houses and goes through trash. They also pay lp mad money but you have to produce results.

Most basic mall stores though, don't even know why people pay.

Oh honey.

I started in LP.

Some stores are super pressed historically. Macy's has had LP since the 40s. Target is known for fucking people up. JC Penney... They used to be cool. Don't steal from khols.

It seems like the more Midwestern they are the more balls to the wall it is.

It's never just a random employee. usually it's a random manager

The top part was a joke - you are obviously waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too twisted tight on this one to be any fun.

I think we all should be able to perform a citizen's arrest if we see someone actively stealing shit. I used to be a master shoplifter. Now I just make a PITA of myself by sidling up to clumsy fucks and telling them "put it back, you ain't making it out of the store with that."

lol I have friends who have worked in LP for large corporate stores, & they were definitely not arresting folks or hiring legit security for their high priced electronics, although they've been off that job for a few years.

also for the sake of clarity, I don't steal & allusions to it are for the sake of discussion

Curious - you any good at stealing? I see people stealing all the time at stores with inadequate protections - guess you can't RFID chip everything in the store. Although, I worked at JC Pennys for a short stint - we TRIED to chip everything.

Also mall cops can't touch you for s

I mean. Ive done Macy's and target and worked with JCP and Nordstrom. Dude I lost like a pound of flesh in a fight at target lol.

Omg we used to back up sears. They were cray.

But we legit attested ppl and if you didn't catch them it was your job.

What kind of a hippie are you, not stealing from the man? If businesses keeping the profit of labor is unjust, in your opinion, it seems you would try to liberate that profit from the other end. I'm confused by this lack of consistency.

I don't find fascism or defense of it amusing, and my trans friends who have been arrested have all described being assaulted and demeaned specifically as relates to their genitals/gender. you may have been joking, but it literally is what happens.

also, while I may not myself steal, literally what do you, random store-goer, have to gain by protecting corporate profits? and is it more important than what they have to lose, given you don't know what situation they may be in that led to theft? sure, maybe they're just trying to fuel a drug habit or buy some new Yeezys or whatever, but I've been broke enough that the thought crossed my mind, and had I not had the support of friends I may have done it.
