Advice The Home Improvement/Automation Thread

i had one before (medical, not infomercial)

Amazon product ASIN B00CMV3BEM
I wore it for roughly a month and my posture permanently improved. I used to walk kinda hunched over in the neck like a bird, now my spine is perfectly straight and my posture is much better. I think it forces you to use the right muscles, and strengthens those muscles through use.

I had something very similar in the 8th grade when I broke my collarbone.

I was installing a channel drain at the edge of the driveway where it meets the house and the water has been getting into the basement.

Up pops right along the edge of the concrete driveway slab? An old invisible fence line, and below that and obviously hacked to shit optical phone cable.

Then! Below that a not hacked to shit optical phone cable.

Looks like the Fios dicks tucked the fucking line in where it was easy.

Thank fuck I didn't break it.

Now I have to do something with it so it doesn't get its ass kicked.

Ugh. If we had cell service worth a shit, maybe.

I’m going to tuck it in behind and below the channel drain I installed. We plan to make a thing behind that for the trash and recycling barrels that would keep it safe.

It’s not a foot traffic area or anything.

811 yo.

nice, tnx for the idea. I like woodworking and want to create smth cool too in the near future. I decided to start with old wooden furniture. I found info about wood sealer on https://woodyexpert.com/best-wood-sealer/ and ordered a 5-Gallon for renovation work. Hope I'll finish it in the near future.

Got recommended a local brick and paver yard that had pavers to match our front walk.

68 cents a piece for 100 forklifted in a neat bundle into muh #PROFESSIONALGRADE
Nice
When I did pavers for the back patio, I had to load them all onto a cart myself (150ea @ 18" x 18" x 2")
Into the truck myself
Then all to their final resting place myself
Every bit of that sucked ass

bout 1000lbs total? pavers are generally like a 10lbs per square ft for the thin ones

At this point I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

The way the engine fits on the chipper, not many other engines will fit on it without interfering with the chute for feeding bigger sticks. It's also got a 1" shaft and pretty much every other engine that's the same size has a 3/4" shaft.

Since the chipper flywheel hangs off the engine shaft, I don't think a 3/4" -> 1" shaft adapter is a good idea.

Maybe I'll just give up on the fuckin' thing.

Upgrading the lighting in my office.

Replacing the two recessed cans with new ones that don’t have paint filled lamp sockets.

Adding two more cans opposite those.

Going with soft white dimmable led bulbs.

Not doing a sealed led light so I can use a Hue bulb if I choose to down the line.

After the upgrade I’ll have one can for each quadrant of the room. Nice, even, dimmable light.
