How shallow is your well? Just puzzled thinking about how ants could get in the well or filter(s). Granted, most wells around here are in the 250-300' deep range.
300ft. Theyre at the top, but detritus and ants and stuff must be falling down the shaft and getting sucked into the pump. It does make not too much sense though, as some of the stuff is huge, and the pump has gotta have a screen on it like you described.

Time to scope the pipe out to the well head and install the sediment filter.

Screen might be shot. Yeah, seal that prick asap. Nobody wants to pull up that damn pump. I've heard stories of them breaking loose and them just drilling the fuck out of the pump to get it out of the way, then they drop the new pump in on top leaving the scrapnel[sic] down there. FFS that sounds nasty. Good luck with it.

Sounds like the bigger issue is he doesn't want the pump sucking it in, to begin with. Hard on the pump, etc. I assuming that DOmon has a whole house grabbing the fines before they get in his faucet valves(heh!), washing machine, etc.

I do not. I will by this weekend.

Well goes straight into pressure tank, pressure tank goes straight into house lines

Well is in a super deep aquifer that seems (we'll see once i put the filter in) to have zero sediment

Get the big filter unit with filters about the size of a roll of paper towels, fuck those Pringle's can sized pricks. You might be surprised at what it catches. Nice options: bypass while changing filter and/or a shutoff on the filter unit for the same purpose.

yeah, to start with im just going with a spin down that has a purge function. Pick out the 100 micron stuff.

Our curbside pickup Is a massive fuckup.

You pull up and it says to call the number. You call, they give you a bunch of shit about calling. Then you sit there for an hour or more and they may or may not have your shit ready like they said. The lady in the next space had been there and hour as well.

last time I was there I noticed that their makeshift curbside pickup area was empty of customers

So my HVAC is blowing the low voltage fuse. I replaced it and it ran long enough for the tstat to boot up and for the AC to kick on and run for a couple of minutes. I assume that means it isn't a short or a bad cap. Anyone got any ideas?

Most commonly it's a short in the wiring to the thermostat. I just went through that recently - discovered that the guys who originally installed it had ran the wire over a sharp edge of ducting. 15 years of slight vibration took it's toll and cut through the insulation. Replaced the wire, right as rain. If you have a short piece of that wire or can cut some off, just put a jumper between the common and AC on and you'll know shortly(heh) if that was the issue.
