Ontopic Random Computer-Electronics Thread

I took my 2013 macbook pro apart yesterday to put some powdered graphite in the bearing of a sticky fan, and when I put it back together, everything worked again, and the fan rotates once more.

Thinking about this:

X570 ATX Motherboard: $180

Amazon product ASIN B07SVRZGMX
Ryzen 7 3800X: $340

Amazon product ASIN B07SXMZLPJ
16gb DDR4 Ram: $90

Amazon product ASIN B07D1XJWSJ
1tb Samsung EVOO:$200

Amazon product ASIN B07MFZY2F2
Radeon 5700XT: $409

Amazon product ASIN B07W95D5V3
$1219 total. More than I had hoped.
if you're gonna spend that much on a mobo and proc you should get a better nvme that takes advantage of the pcie4 bandwidth.

Also, 32 gigs of ram

Can Windows Home even address that much memory?

I mean, I know LOOONIX can, but the last time I ran windows, anything above 16GB was a non-starter for anything less than #PROFESSIONALGRADE.
