You might not be far off.
My cousin and his wife were both teachers at an American school in Lima. Like for the children of Americans working down there. Businessmen, diplomats, etc.
They made something comarable to what a teacher or other civil servant (fireman, tax assessor, etc.) would here.
Down there that got them a big gorgeous house with all the amenities and even a maid, and still plenty left to sock away.

fun fact: i’m wealthier in peru than i am in canada (thanks daddy) and the only reason i’m not there is cuz of my son and the custody cuz TRUST ME, i tried. 2 yrs in court and thousands of dollars in legal fees (some of y’all remember that battle years ago) but i was not allowed to live there with him.. got full custody but he can’t live there.

i think back then the emotions and anger were running high between me and my ex, cuz if i asked him this TODAY, he would probably go for it..

Sent from my Tapacaca bitchezzz

I don't know where in Lima theirs was, just saw pictures, but looked like living in a tropical jungle botanical garden or something. Not a generic cube in a bigger cube block building.

edit: everything i said is super wrong. Lima, Peru has a population of 10M.

Lima.... district, has a population of 250k. I guess its like a bur-rough in NYC

After seeing those cities I'm feeling better about this whole living in the country thing. An average of 540 souls per square mile for the township. But in reality it's more like 50/square mile with a shitload of poors crammed into 2 mobile home communities. Elevation of 1100'

You ever realize someone is your hero after they've left?
Was in a meeting this morning. Guy next to me, Paul, is pretty quiet which is a little unlike him. Program Manager asks him if he can take care of something next week, Paul rouses himself and says "no, no I dont think I can."
"Ok, week after?"
"No, I'll be retired."
And that's how he announced his retirement.

A human baby? If so, that is pretty damned cool imo. Lot of women wouldn't let a man watch their baby unless they knew them before.
I'm referred to as uncle ood by this one's parent's. I'm only planning on keeping him about four months. I halted my job search while I finish my last semester and wait on my youngest to get in school full time so this works out well.
