Ontopic String's and Adi's gear & pedal thread

My amp has a treble pot...

Just sayin you could get a speaker with better performance where you're gonna use it instead of one with extended top end you gonna dial out anyways.
Whizzers can get harsh when you try to push good low-end from the same speaker. Cone flopping back and forth too far.

It can sound real nice if you don't need it to both deep and loud.

Also, the cabinet is optimized to be used with my Eden wtx264 head.

Optimized, idk. Usually means matching clothes as much as anything else.
I'm admittedly not up on the new Eden stuff. The old World Tour series, at least when they were still made in MN under the guy who founded the company, were smooth response, honest power, with a lot of tone shaping options to make them sound how you want. They didn't have a real baked in signature sound like a GK or an Ampeg or something does.
Don't know how you'd "optimize" something for that aside from matching power handling.

Maybe the new ones are different.

If my only amp was an old WT800 made in Eden Prairie, MN I'd be fine with that.

Haven't kept up with the company history. Been bought and sold 2 or 3 times since then.
Their 300 watt tube amp is/was some generic Chinese thing that given enough money or purchase volume or whatever you or I could put our badge on and sell as our own.
Same amp was sold as 4 or 5 different brands in various countries around the world.

I'm not digging up all the info and generating a flow chart. You'll just have to trust I'm right in saying Epstein didn't kill himself.

I had that 300 watt Chinese Eden tube amp. E-300? Broke up terribly. Like a guitar head. Pretty sure it was just a guitar amp that someone put the word "BASS" on with glue.
@Strings

I don't think it was a true 300 watts. I had a bench Tech tested it about 180 watts of output. And my point is that it was voice like a guitar head. Don't make me come down there! LOL
Ironically, all their EC line is rated at 180 watts. I have the EC210. It doesn't break up, sounds decent. But I hate the EQ section. I'm kina buying your theory it's a guitar amp strapped to bass speakers. At least the EQ section.
