I stopped and got gas at 5 am, at a Kroger joint.

The chain here has a tradition of yuge sock sales on Black Friday so naturally the parking lot was already half full.

Hopefully they have more than socks marked down.

Is anybody here buying a car for their mate for Christmas? I see the commercials so it must be a thing. Big bows and junk.
besides the whole "buying a car new from a dealer is silly bc you lose value the moment you drive it off the lot & it becomes 'used'" thing, making a car purchase without discussing it with your partner, whether it's for them or you, is a dick move. same goes for pets (as in, don't buy surprise pets, not don't buy them cars although that's probably sound advice also)

I agree with all of that but having bought three brand new cars in my lifetime, it’s frickin awesome, regardless of value lost.

I got a new car once when I was with my ex because his dad worked at a dealership so we got a good price, but he got it in his name so I was SOL when I runnoft. I agree it was v nice to not have to worry as much about some new bullshit going wrong every week.

I work around that by having 3 used cars for bullshit to go wrong with. So far, it's worked out surprisingly well.

the hot deal I'm getting today is the tires I'm getting later are buy 3 get 1 free, but I only "lucked" into that deal bc one of my tires has The Flat Spot™ which is stupid because I don't store it & I haven't locked the brakes or slid, so idk where tf it came from.
