Ontopic String's and Adi's gear & pedal thread

i personally really enjoy it. especially from a company known for it. it gives the head a specific character and defining quality. might cut down their market a bit because it's a specific flavour, but i appreciate people making amps that have unique voices and aren't just transparent volume boxes if that makes sense.
That was a fake sad face gravy @definitely :p

Darkglass is pretty much known for, expected to be, coloured. I'm cool with that.

to me that's exactly what makes their brand interesting. obviously not for everyone.

i think the staple big brands account for like 75% of the market too. i enjoy people doing their thing and owning a smaller lane instead of trying to compete for that 75%.

I remember TB people saying stuff like you gotta have flat response, man. Clean reproduction is where it's at man just set your amp flat.
Then they plug it into their 410 cube with speakers that don't play as much bandwidth as they do and are interfering with each other everywhere except dead center.

I would never suggest setting your head for flat response, I just don't want extra features that could fuck up, in the head. I like the modularity of my pedal board. I had very similar convo with someone about "battery powered generators". I was like "NO U!!" - ffs, a battery and an inverter I can separate at will. Unless you really need it all in one fancy box.
That said, the DarkGlass amp looks very nice - not like I wouldn't use it if presented with it. And good on them for choosing a lane and owning it.

Ya they should work fine :) in fact the new boss stuff is designed for the modular rack chassis with mostly the same pedals they have for guitar and bass
