How do explain the number of white men and women who voted for Obama in 08 and 12 but voted for Trump in 2016? Did they suddenly become racist?

I'm not defending anybody. Trump has brought the worst out in some people, no doubt. However, I don't think the middle class white voters who voted for Obama in 08 and 12 but then voted for Trump in 16 traded in their hope and change bumper stickers for rebel flags and white hoods. Also, Trump didn't run against a minority candidate in 2016. He ran against an old white woman who was just as shitty of a candidate as he was.

As if a majority of whites voted, period. The majority of white Americans did not vote for Obama in the two elections he won, he just got more votes overall.

So did H Clinton.

I’m pretty sure having him encouraged people to get more active when Trump came down the escalator. It’s just an opinion.
