WTF Bad boys, Bad boys, whatcha gonna do

Ok, I think it does sound shady the guy they took to the hospital would have given it up, there was nothing in that for him. The writers assumptions of how people deal and sell weed are pretty fucking off imo. Lot of people are buying and selling a few lbs. of weed out of their home, car, parking lot. Band I was in a few back, 3 of us were growers who were selling everything from ounces to lbs.
People driving 300 miles to do some business to make a few thousand profit(depending) is not terribly unusual. If I saw a crapslist for a bass or car or something else I wanted in the $1-4k range, I could certainly think about driving a few hundred miles to get the item, if I thought it a good deal. For someone who's legal option might be making minimum wage, driving 9 hours to make some serious change(eventually) is not strange at all. At 15 mpg it cost them about $120 in gas, round trip. I have personal peeps who make those drives routinely.
That said, mother fuckers need to learn about Fedex et al. and paypal. That's how much <20 lb bulks of weed is getting moved these days.

That a witness in a high profile case is also a low level dealer is not unusual. People everywhere who are dealers and users. Dude might have thought he was being an audacious mother fucker, playing witness one week while secretly dealing the next. I wonder if he actually had heat. Not that owning a gun makes you a dealer.

Was gonna say there are untold numbers of people that do exactly what that "article" claims they wouldn't do.

High grade weed like is about all that's available nowdays can easily run $15-$20 a gram down here in the oppressive states. 2 pounds is 900 of those. Do the math. Even with some righteous breaks on quantity a days drive and 2 tanks of gas doesn't amount to shit on the expense side of the ledger.
