Ontopic RIP Thread

I love getting tattoos as a memory. I made the connection in therapy recently that I, by no coincidence, get a new tattoo anytime I have a bereavement. This one will be the actually intended one rather than an unconscious whim to get a tattoo and not knowing why.
yeah I started doing it and now have a backlog of dead friends to memorialize :(

Idea for those wanting to memorialize a pet or friend - ashes(cremains) can be baked into a glass item(dish, jewelry, picture). There are also peeps who put ashes and hair into various jewelry, etc. encased in plastic/resin. We've done the cremains in glass dishes with paw prints for 2 different people. $100-ish for a dish, which is cheaper than a tattoo.
I don't have tattoos but am ok with others getting them. Their skin.

That reminds me, a fella I used to work with had a shark tattoo on his back & he said the same thing, more or less. So he got this huge tattoo "for himself".......on his back.
Brilliant.

you don't have to be able to see it for it to be "for yourself." he envisioned his best self to be the version of himself with a shark tattoo on his back.
