I fell into a YouTube rabbit hole one day. Mustang owners. Dumbest fuckers ever, and none of them know how to drive.

Turn off traction control, fishtail over a curb, hit others, go into a ditch, etc.
 
Words cannot describe the itching I've got to take apart the suspension on the 300ZX right now, but it's kind of low in the queue of things to do before the Williams show (priority 0: get Peter's '84 in paint, 1: put the Datsun's timing cover back together so that it isn't blowing oil all over, 2: make sure that the 300ZX is actually in one piece and ready to drive across NM and Arizona, 3: head out to Chicago and see my cousin married off)

I've got all the stuff to do the whole job on the rear: adjustable upper control arms and track rods, urethane bushings and new ball joints (Moog quality, bitches) for the lower control arms, new SKF wheel bearings, and of course, the shiny new coilover struts.

Interesting read. First mustang ever built was one of a run of 'preproduction' cars that were never actually meant to be sold, they were meant to be showroom pieces only and most of them got recalled and crushed afterwards. But Mustang #1 accidentally got sold to a newfie, who drove it for two years before they convinced him to trade it in for a fully loaded newer one... and if that didn't happen, that car probably wouldn't even exist anymore.

 
I went by a a machine shop that is shutting down. Guy has about half a dozen lathes, one of which predated electricity in NYC, he thought it was made in 1885. It was tucked away in the corner so I didn't get a good look but he said it had a 24" throw with a work length of 72". Half a dozen mills, two of which had been modded to accept g-code to make them CNCs, one of which was a fairly good looking Bridgeport that I wanted.
Couple vertical bandsaws, couple horizontal bandsaws for stock trimming. Drill presses, lotsa grinders, everything you'd expect in a full machine shop.

Lots of good condition calipers and measuring equipment, I'm going to pick up some 12" Mitutoyo calipers when I head back.

Also had these.
Lockheed Martin built shelving units. 3/4" plywood, skinned over with either 1/8" or 0.1" aluminum with all stainless steel hardware, originally in their CMM/inspection room. I'm going to head back and get two of them for sure.






I need him to give me a price for this, but I'll probably go back and get it as well

THis entire post made me hard. The shelving units look very nice, should last you a lifetime.12" calipers!
I'd go $100 on the arbor press(more if that's a stand that comes with it) - it looks to have a much taller throat than some Harbor Freight POS. You can actually dos some shit with that one.

So it's starting to get colder as fall sets in, and the Fit is starting to run like dirt, so I figure it's time to change spark plugs and do a valve clearance adjustment. Hmm, lets see what the procedure is...
