I bet they would feed me if I asked. It would be great for the old folks but it's not just about them, it's free marketing for the company and it's 30 miles away from me. I have more local options to be charitable to that aren't related to marketing in any way.

Well, how is that company doing for the oldsters, in your opinion? And any possibility they will open a place closer to you? Just tossing it out there. Yeah, none of that helps you NOW. You know, I've done a few of those things through a church where we'd go to nursing homes. But it always petered out. Wonder if some other group took up the "cross" at those facilities.
I say give them one last show to remember, OOD. Strip down to a pair of short shorts, flip a few tables, smash a few wheelchairs. Scream Attica Attica!!! While clanging bedpans together.

I have no idea but I don't think the Christians are taking over. I mean we suck but we're way better than the average church youth group. I'm pretty sure the budget just got ignored until they said fuck it and basically shut us down. BL refused to make cuts so I can't blame them.

I'm happy with any of those just wondering if theres something else out there, $200 new price or less I'm not aware of. Not up on all the new stuff. Cheaper is better but not if it sucks. Live sound/home recording. Not winning any Grammys over here.

To add:. I know about the AKG P2. It's been out long enough some people must have tried it. Good affordable bass speaker mic but don't know it can stand up to spl and air pressure beating of a drum.

Last drummer used a 52 and I was always able to get good sound with no fuss but I figured it was his talent more than the mic.
I have the most time in with the D112. Little more scooped, boom/tap but I just knew how to work it.
We were doing heavier bands then though.
Finesse? What's that? Just kill them with sound!
