Do these guys have a decibel/frequency chart for what's considered moderately or very loud or is it more subjective?

No I'm not buying a $1000+ air rifle. Just in a broad general sense these things are in the neighborhood of a .32 or .380 pistol, though way more accurate and "not a firearm". .357, 80-90 grain pellet running 8xx-9xx fps for example.

Ah, nothing like a little road rage to wake you up in the morning. Sir, I'm just trying to get to work. You are sitting at a green light for no reason. Just a little quick toot, I didn't lay on the horn. It wasn't necessary for you to block the intersection, then jump out of your beat up truck and punch my driver's window several times. Chill out.

Yeah that's fucked up. People shouldn't behave like that. Sadly, those type situations happen to me two or three times a month because of the absolute exposure I have in traffic.

I saw a good one last week where a jeep got cut off by an F150 on the highway in traffic. Jeep guy layed on the horn. F150 slammed his brakes hard causing Jeep to rear end him. Then they both just took off cursing out their windows. Visible damage to the rear end of the F150, didn't see the front of the jeep, but he slammed into a trailer hitch so it must have left a mark.

Watch some Youtube videos and check them out? I honestly didn't know about this big bore air rifle was a thing until last weekend when my friends were mentioning it.

I've punctured a radiator or two from someone rear ending me while I have my hitch in. One of the idiots refused to shut their engine off "because it's cold out"

Maybe somebody on YT shot over a decibel meter or something. Mics and speakers or people's descriptions of what loud is really aren't anything solid.

I got rear ended by a Ford F-350 traveling 35 mph and never hit his brakes. I was in a Toyota 4x4 extra cab (pre-Tacoma) and it broke my seat back and my head broke the back window.

I dislocated all of my ribs from my sternum slightly, and bruised the sternum BAD. Was bleeding from my head.

I had to keep my distance from the coppers and declined medical attention. Being a drunk isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I've seen them at the gun range. Kinda sounds like someone clapping two small piece of 2X4 together.

But yeah, bit expensive. You can get a decent 1000-1200 fps .177 rifle with a modest scope for <$300. Maybe even a .25
