It's not aboot raping 12 year olds, you're just saying that for shock value.

It is about forcing a hearing at SCOTUS though.
This isn't a new thing. Several states are passing different restrictions with various forms of legal maneuvering in them in the hopes one of them will ventually get there and be granted a hearing. That takes time. They need to get it in front of this court, or better yet a court with one more Trump appointee on it.

If successful that would kick it back to the states. Would not be a fed level nationwide ban.

I think when some people say "inexpensive and accessible" they really mean "it's everywhere and it's free".

Raising a kid in the US is a minimum 18 year and nearly quarter million dollar deal and that's just providing the basics.

Measured from that all other options are incredibly cheap and easy.

But for someone making minimum wage a year of the pill is going to consume about 10% of their annual take home. IUD slightly more, but at least it's a one time shot. For a while. The the followup ultrasounds to see it is still in position might nip them for another $400+, each time.
