You mean the one tard that put a heavy pot on it and one bar bent? The idea was a portable, lightweight grill. If you got room for a heavy pot in your backpack, you certainly can fit a hibachi. ;/Yeah, read some of the reviews of those on Amazon. They melt over a campfire.
I think all of them are going to have one drawback or another. I like the portability, but not sure on assembly/disassembly after it's been used several times. The metal tines are going to turn black & have crusty crap on them from grilling food. There's no way it's just "✔ Easy to Clean - Just wipe the rods with a towel and slide back into the convenient carry tube. " I would 'try' it for the $20 (amazon price) though. You mean the one tard that put a heavy pot on it and one bar bent? The idea was a portable, lightweight grill. I watched a video review of it. Wonky to assemble(for starters you need a tool), could get worse as it gets dirty. Lady gave it a push, looked really flexible. Some might call that flimsy. I appreciate fly might be selling this on Amazon but for myself I'm saying nah to a $100 porta-grill of that type of relative construction. IF a decent Coleman propane porta grill is $99, I'm thinking $15 tops for a chicken screen of stainless or chrome plated wire.I think all of them are going to have one drawback or another. The thing I like the most about that one is it's stupid easy to set up, and, at least for me, at only $7, I can get a new one under the Christmas tree each year & toss the old one (if it's wearing down quickly). You had the right idea earlier. Something with the legs/frame built in that folds up to a sort of thin book size object.
Hell yeah - you're welcome here any time!
I wonder what we could come up with at home depot or lowes for $15 & portable. . .I'm thinking $15 tops for a chicken screen of stainless or chrome plated wire.
I didn't want to mention this, but I buy probably 10-15 of the cheap Chinese made ones made of stainless for my glass hobby each year. Basically you put glass of different colors on top and let it melt through to make free-form material for cutting up later. I have a strong strong opinion on what these things are worth. And don't get me started on pizza stones damnit!I wonder what we could come up with at home depot or lowes for $15 & portable. . .
hmmm.
$15 would be easy to spend annually if it went together pretty easily.
honestly, this.
aint none of their metals suitable for being heated and food put over them. You need stainless.I wonder what we could come up with at home depot or lowes for $15 & portable. . .

I dunno. Cancer grills go with pallet pizza pretty wellaint none of their metals suitable for being heated and food put over them. You need stainless.
and make sure its not the high chromium stuff.
Right, I saw this, aint none of their metals suitable for being heated and food put over them. You need stainless.

The chromium on those is metallic chrome, it's not in a hexavalent state . It's isn't coming off at anywhere near those temps. That said, many of your cheaper steel grill like on a propane bbq will be nickle plated. Nickel is very inert and acid resistant. A small amount of the chromium in the exterior of cheaper ss pulls out at 1500f+ but most is immediatly bound to oxygen. Grey-black dust, rises off with water, almost no more after first time at those temps.aint none of their metals suitable for being heated and food put over them. You need stainless.

bidet! It’s a goddamn grill for use at a wait for it
Horse Show and to be used next to a horse trailer that has its own dressing room and bidet.
I think you can spend more than $15 pal. Splurge on something nice for $fiddy. It isn't like you’re close to eating the horse.
