The danger area for the tornado was 10 miles from her house but they sheltered up just in case.
We had a small tornado touch down here a while back. That's what they called it anyway. The entire building shook. The ceiling tiles lifted like the building was trying to breathe and part of our roof tore away. A little one like that was unsettling enough. I can't imagine how horrible a real bad one could be.
And consider the fact that you guys are glue engineering Central. Your building is so well glued together, strings.
I'd say 10 miles could still be considered a "danger zone" seeing as they can't predict tornados, just the general path of storms strong enough they "might" make one.
We had a slight earthquake here once. Just a tremor. But the floor felt like rubber and the building wobbled so it seemed.
I'm convinced the 50 gallon drum of glue that spilled saved us all.
Dragging a rv/travel trailer thing back from Corpus today. Should maybe try to keep it out of the ditch instead of prolific posting on UF.
