Ontopic The "Should not have done that" thread V. Sexual Misdeeds

If someone is making verbal threats to me, I can see myself recording that. If I can get to my phone fast enough before they follow through. With my luck, I'd get a video of a fist flying towards me.

I actually recorded verbal, physical threats once that were apparently enough for the cop to arrest the guy just to diffuse the situation. Charged him with some bullshit little class C (the lowest here) misdemeanor. Guy was out in a few hours and nothing ever came of it. Probably got dismissed or at worst slapped with $100 fine a year later or something.

That, and a couple instances prior to that that resulted in even more nothing, is why I haven't called cops to deal with anything ever since. They're useless.

Protect yourself. It's the only way it gets done right.

Ever since I realized that life has been pretty smooth. The couple ne'er-do-wells I had to deal with since never came back to argue about it. Never tried to twist around calling cops on me either. Probably figured it was best to just leave me alone.

This is why people, and especially women, should have means and ability to defend themselves. Would be nice if the system worked but it doesn't always. Would be nice if people weren't assholes but they are sometimes.

Don't be a victim.

Again it's situational. If the guy has a gun and wants my wallet, people say just give up the wallet. Cooperate and hopefully live. Ok, I can agree with that. But in situations where they demand you get in their car or something like that, you absolutely must fight to get away. Gun or no gun. If you get in that car you are at their mercy. I'd rather run and zig zag gunfire than get in that car or van. But people do freeze because it's a situation they've never been confronted with. It's scary out there sometimes.

100% agreed.

I didn't mean my post to come off as "everybody needs guns" or whatever. . More to say "stick up for yourself".
Could be knives, metal pens, jewellery, rocks, broken glass, chairs, hands, feet, nails, voice. Many times deceit and subterfuge.

Mostly saying you are your own first line of defense. When seconds count cops are only minutes away. That Instagram video might provide evidence to prosecute the bad guy, or exonerate your reactions after the event but it's not going to stop you from being violated.

Fighting back can though.

Most criminal/predator types are pussies. Sure there are exceptions but most the time it holds true. They prey on the weak, vulnerable, and oblivious just like predators in nature do.

When somebody they thought was weak, vulnerable, or oblivious suddenly comes unglued on their ass most of them run away and look for easier prey.

I think a good ploy these days would to wipe out the phone and hold it in your non-dominant hand. When they make a lunge for it you cold-cock them with the better hand. Just sayin. Watched a cop fighting/wrestling with this guy and the cop's technique included repeatedly trying to grab the guys junk with a pinching grip. Appeared to be very distracting to the perp.:egads:

Guy, by presenting your argument as a counter to what was being said, you were saying it was ok. You didn't explicitly state it, but by using it to back up your points you implicitly were saying ok.

As for Milo, fuck anything and everything that hate monger said. Even if it accurately reflects the world I guarantee someone worth a shit also said it.

No I didn’t. I never mentioned what I think is okay pertaining to the age of consent. I merely said what I’ve heard from gay friends, and in the press straight out of the Milo’s mouth. It’s the way gay men see it, or most of them, or at least the ones I’ve known AS FRIENDS.

I dont care what your friends think. I'm not talking to them about this issue for one, for another who knows if their minds have changed on this matter?
If you want to stop talking about this, as you appear to, just say what you personally believe. Until then, the fact that you continue to refuse to pass judgment (in addition to everything else I've mentioned) is most likely going to be percieved as you saying it is ok.

Off topic objectification of the immigrant - reported!

BOT - I agree with immi that the norm for gay dudes seems to include 16+ with older dudes as a gray area for them. I think the half your age + 7 rules should still be applied if you don't want to be considered a perv. in any relationship or hookup.

Pondering . . do young gay dudes want to hookup with older dudes the same way many young straight guys want to HU with older women? IF so, do older gay guys find that a turn on, like many older women do?

No one is disputing what the norm is. However, as has been stated, the norm is not always right.

Agreement or disapproval of the norm is what is being discussed
Fine. I disapprove if it breaks the 1/2 + 7 standard.

See @definitely , I was just being a big sicko when I wanted to send you that microphone. Dreaming of young lips near. . . do we have to use a windscreen? This time. :fly:

It's houseboy/sugar daddy complex.
The sugar daddies flaunt the money.
The house boys get a credit card for clothes etc etc.
As always I don't care until it breaks the barrier of the age of consent.
If some dude wanted to Sugar Daddy one of my offspring before the age of consent I'd sick the vice division of the local police upon them. Same as if it was an old broad with the same agenda.
