The Infotainment console was so badly laid out and unnavigable that I could never tell exactly what radio station I had it tuned to, because the actual "this is what station you're listening to" part of the screen was overlaid so that only the tops of the numbers could be seen over the 3 rows of presets on the bottom. .
I think this is purposely done to push you to the luxury models. The middle dash of my Sequoia is a mess and the Lexus layout is 10x nicer.

But the Impala is the top of Chevy's line. There literally is no nicer Chevy.
Cause they killed the name sooooo bad.
"Meet the impala now the Caprice now the Caprice Classic now round. Oh you don't like it round? That's ok police departments will buy it and pawn it off to the cab fleets.
Oh wait that's no longer working.
Meet the Impala!"

Not to mention it's a fucking stupid tactic

"Hey, the Chevy UI is a dumpster fire, you wanna look at a Cadillac for twice the money, or a Ford or Dodge for a similar price?"

All it takes is one other manufacturer not doing that to make that tactic a losing one. Almost as if the market were at work...

It's fun to see you fail at business. Stick to playing with rusty motors.

At least back in the 90s, there was still a vestige of the GM social ladder, where you'd buy into the Chevy then in a few years graduate to a Pontiac or Buick that was the same car underpinning a nicer interior.

But that shit's all gone, and now the only badge engineering they do is at the truck and CUV level. So, it's not like you can go buy the upmarket Impala in a Buick or Cadillac nameplate and get a bigger screen, because there isn't any of that anymore. Buick is all Vauxhall stuff, and Cadillac is doing, well, whatever it is that Cadillac's been doing trying to out German the Germans.

I'm talking about a move to a lux GM line, out of Chevy.
Right, but there isn't a lux GM line that does the Chevy Impala. I understood what you were talking about when you move from the Sequoia to the Lexus LX or RX or w/e is the rebadged Sequoia.

The Cadillacs are all focussed on beating the M3/M5 and Mercedes S class, not building a car that someone owning an Impala would aspire to own.
