Pics XMAS 2018

We'll do real because the smell is so damn nice. The part of the day that I absolutely hate and causes all kinds of liquor consumption is putting the real one in the tree stand. It takes about 20 minutes of adjusting and that's way too much crawling under the branches and adjusting, getting up checking the lean, repeat. I'm absolutely taking suggestions. "there must be a better way" infomercial about it, right?

this looks enticing.

Mount the tree stand to the ceiling and hang the tree upside down to adjust. No crawling involved.
Don't screw it up turning it back over.

I don't remember what your birthday is, BUT. . .

I think I was in 5th grade - with a 2nd grade sister, and toddler bro crawling around and after the xmas morning 'unwrapped gifts everywhere' mess - we left it there to go back & play with the stuff later - for days. The P's didn't have us clean it up that year for some reason. Usually it was cleaned up before noon on xmas. That yr, it was like mid-jan before we heard "I'M NOT WAITING ONE MORE DAY FOR YOU TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS!" I think it was a test. I passed it like a 5th grader. :iono:

Here's a true story: one of my favorite parts of xmas is buying cool toys for the xmas hamper*. Usually I get variety packs of Hot Wheels or Star Wars figures, but now that SW is dead to me I might do Lego instead

*dont any of you tell anyone I buy xmas gifts for needy brats I dont even know. i have a reputation to protect

as the cool uncle I usually show up bearing 'I saw this & thought you'd like it' a lot during the year. But after 10/1, they go into storage until the cool uncle shows up on 12/25. . . :fly:
